Following an incredible day at the YRDA HQ in Banbury where the 2021 UKC champions got an insightful day into the Arden Team and YRDA. The directors sat down and elected not one but two of the champions to fly the YRDA flag in 2022 as they step up to join the program.

Both leading Cadet drivers in 2021 Skye and Jacob will strengthen the line-up for 2022 being provided with both on and off track coaching and mentoring with the YRDA’s world class team.

The YRDA team was blown away with both drivers potential and attitude and highlights the great talent coming through the Ultimate Karting Championship.

“Our relationship with the UKC is essential to ensuring the young talent is highlighted early on and given the professional support needed to boost their career up the motorsport ladder. The UKC has provided a fantastic opportunity for the YRDA to bolster its links back into karting and provide the support deserved in the foundation of any drivers career.

We are delighted to announce both Skye Parker and Jacob Ashcroft to the YRDA program and we cannot wait to see them thrive in their 2022 seasons. Both drivers shone bright on their assessment day and impressed each member of the YRDA team.

We look forward to working closer than ever with the UKC team and 2021 has provided a great foundation to do this from.” — Simon Stoneham (Head of Press and Communications)

Heading into 2022 the YRDA and UKC are looking to provide more than ever and UKC’s Paul Phelan is keen to provide as much talent to the top as possible.

“It’s a great honour for the UKC to be working with such a successful establishment within motorsport such as YRDA. Jamie Horner has welcomed UKC as a partner for 2021 and beyond, where will work to develop the talent within the series. All competitors within UKC are consistently proving their talent on the global stage and this is one of many ways we are able to reward that”

The YRDA looks forward to welcoming Jacob and Skye to Arden again to begin their work with the academy and seeing them thrive.
