Starting with Qualifying Tommy got his weekend off to a fantastic start finishing the session in 4th place. In hugely difficult conditions over a one minute lap Tommy was just 1.4 seconds off pole position. It would give Tommy a great chance to challenge for a podium finish in the opening race.
From the outside a tricky start saw him drop down to 6th place, but after an incident ahead he was able to move up to 5th on lap eight. That incident would bring the field right back together again with half the race remaining. But on lap eleven a mistake would see Tommy retire from the race. It was a shame as Tommy had the pace to move forward, but he would have the chance to do that in the second and final race of the weekend.
After being classified 9th in race one Tommy would have to start on the back row for that second race. However, to sum up how that would go in one word would be frustrating with progress constantly halted and Tommy finding himself battling to make up the numbers rather than reflecting his qualifying pace.
At the end of 18 laps Tommy finished 5th which was an improvement on his grid position and rather than results he would take away lessons learnt from the weekend. Overall it was another experience and step in what is set to be a long and successful journey for Tommy in car racing.
