Karting

Out latest recruit to the #YRDArmy is 15-year-old Bayley Campbell! Bayley first arrived in the Karting scene through the Daytona Inkart Championships, a place where Formula E driver Sam Bird first cut his teeth. Hoping to follow in his footsteps, Bayley has joined fellow senior Karting drivers Tom Ikin, Jem Hepworth, Lewis Halliday and Simon Stoneham in YRDA as he prepares himself to take a big step forward in his racing career.

We are very excited to welcome Bayley on to our programme here at YRDA. Bayley demonstrated a raw talent on his experiences in the Inkart championship and his attitude to the sport was very impressive to see. Although his experience in Karting may not quite be at the level of many others, he is setting his sights on the next stage.

Wanting to get a head start on his competitors Bayley has recognised being successful in the sport isn’t just about being quick on the track but also about working hard off it. Working on our dedicated simulator at out Arden Motorsport base, Bayley has worked with our engineers to develop his technique very quickly and has gained new skills giving him experience beyond his years.

Bayley first raced in the Inkart championship last year taking podium finishes and fighting for race victories all year. Bayley was able to race each month and learn his race craft which he will be able to transfer over when he takes on the next challenge in his racing career. Being 15-years-old Bayley has been a very fast learner and is quickly arriving at the level he needs to be at.

We are excited to see what the future holds for Bayley. Our goal here at YRDA is to take drivers to the next stage of their careers which can be from Karting to single seaters or GT racing as well as taking riders from minibike racing to Moto3. Bayley is set to join the list of many before him and could soon become a name many are familiar with in the Motorsport community.
