Arden Motorsport are pleased to announce Alex Connor will return to the F4 British Championship for 2020 as the Red Arrows mount a title challenge.

The 15-year old enjoyed a promising first year in single-seaters in 2019, culminating in a double pole position and maiden podium finish in the Ford-powered series at the Brands Hatch season finale.

That, as well as Connor’s consistent points-scoring form, proved enough to put the Dubai-based Brit ninth overall in an extremely competitive season, despite missing the opening round due to age restrictions.

He also sealed the vice-champion honours in the Rookie Cup, taking five class victories and a further 17 podium visits.

Now, with the benefit of a near-full season in the car, his first F4 victory on the support bill for the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and a successful winter test behind him, Young Racing Driver Academy member Connor is in a strong position to push for the overall title in 2020.

He, along with new team mates Frederick Lubin and Roman Bilinski, will also continue to benefit from huge trackside crowds and live, free-to-air ITV4 coverage as the championship continues to support the British Touring Car Championship.

Media Day is scheduled for 9th March at Donington Park, with the Leicestershire circuit also playing host to the opening three rounds of another action-packed, 30-race season on 28-29 March.

Gary Ward, Arden F4 Team Manager: “I am delighted that Alex is re-joining Arden for the 2020 British F4 campaign. I have been involved with Alex since karting to F4 and I’m very pleased with how quickly he’s adapted to the demands of the championship and the car, despite having to miss the season-opener in 2019 due to age restrictions.

"Last season was very promising from Alex, not least taking the Vice-Champion honours in the Rookie Cup. Another highlight for me was the double pole-position and maiden podium at the Brands Hatch season finale. Hopefully we’ll have more highlights to celebrate in the season ahead!”
Alex Connor: "I am really excited to be  racing in the British F4 Championship with Arden again this year. I learnt so much last year about the car, the  tracks and   the     racing and  now, after good off-season testing and fitness programmes, I'll be   pushing hard.

“My relationship  with  Arden last year was really good and so it was an obvious choice to re-sign for the 2020 season  and build on that. This championship always attracts very good drivers so it's very important to be consistent and challenge in every race to have a strong championship  -  which is my goal."
